Travis Air Force Base Provides Humanitarian Aid

Quality Scales Unlimited recently responded to a trouble call at Travis Air Force Base. Their scale weighing issues could not have happened at a worse time for the Air Force Base as they were rushing to respond to disasters occurring in both the U.S. and Mexico.

As always, QSU provided excellent service in effectively repairing the scale in a timely manner. Soon after the job was completed, QSU was given the pleasure of hearing about the great outcomes that our services helped provide.

Team C-17 of Travis AFB was able to provide Humanitarian Aid to Texas and Florida after disastrous hurricanes ripped through communities and leaving their marks. Team C-17 was able to arrive with thousands of pounds of relief supplies; which they unloaded in less than two hours time so the next C-17 team could arrive.
Travis AFB was also able to respond to Mexico with 76,000 lbs of cargo and provide search and rescue efforts after they were hit with a 7.1 magnitude earthquake. After Mexico, the team went on to the Virgin Islands to deliver 114,000 lbs. of hurricane relief supplies.

This is a prime example of how our scale calibration service can be more than establishing accurate weights of trucks on our roadways; it can provide support in aiding services benefiting humanity. At QSU we are proud of the little contributions we can make, and we thank Travis AFB and other service members for the work they do.
