Technicians, Keith and Jeff, replaced a fulcrum stand on a mechanical Cardinal truck scale at Tri-Valley Bekins Moving and Storage in Livermore last month. The custom stand replaced a failing rusted stand and required fabrication due to the stand’s special height.
The job required torching the existing stand and base to prepare for the installation of the new stand. After the stand was in place, Keith and Jeff bolted the new stand in place and used quick setting grout to secure the base in the scale pit. To complete the service, the truck scale was calibrated.
Tri-Valley Bekins opened for in business in 1985 and will be celebrating 30 years in business this May. Tri-Valley Bekins is a full service relocation, transportation, and storage company. The company is housed in a 61,000 square foot building in Livermore.
