USA Scales, Inc. Warranty Comments

Scales become inaccurate for a variety of reasons including (but not limited to) wear and tear on components, rough usage, environmental changes and varying amounts of buildup under the scale. These factors affect the scale beyond calibration. The precise scales and instrumentation we distribute are most commonly used in industrial settings. After delivery, we have little or no control of how the scale is used, how it is cared for or the physical environment.

For the above reasons, we strongly recommend customers have QSU perform regular Preventive Maintenance (PM) services on their scales. Our PM services consist of inspecting, testing and calibrating scales with standards traceable to NIST, as required by our licensing agreement with State and local agencies. PM services are critical to receiving consistently accurate weights, increasing scale life spans and reducing the likelihood that scales will get “red-tagged” or break down.
